There we were greeted by Fernado, who was a gem of a human being. Friendly and probably the most positive upbeat person I've ever met. He greeted us with open arms and addressed every possible concern and made our stay super comfortable. Not much could be said about the rooms really. It's a hostal - and our room was a private one. So we had no complaints. The only issue we ran into was the cut off of water - which made the bathroom - un-flushable. But bear this in mind: Chicama Beach is located in the middle of a desert, Water is scarce. And it rained once when we were here - and they mostly run on rain reservoirs. Can I fault them for that? Absolutely not! What we were stoked on - was that even after this explanation, we walked into our room toa massive water cooler with drinkable water to accommodate, Did they have to do that? I didn't think so. Was it a warm delightful gesture? Of course it was! The surf gear provided was to par. The suits they offered us fit like a glove. The surfboards up for rent were various in several sizes.
