#awkward. When I just arrive at a spa or when I'm leaving looking like I've been some sort of molting process, I definitely don't want to be sitting facing a total stranger. Turn off the ceiling lights and purchase some nice LED lights pointed from the floor to the ceiling with adjustable colors. Flip the chairs to the center of the room facing away from one another. Unless you routinely have 10 people waiting... remove some of the chairs and add a water feature. 4. Have some decorum with regard to noise. The laughter, phone rings, and overall talking from the entry area are far too loud. Shut the door to the rest of the spa. Remind guests that the treatment rooms and hallways are quiet zones... although guests don't appear to be the problem. 5. Allow the treatment staff some leadership on what should be improved. The staff we had were from Indonesia and definitely knew more about the ambiance a spa requires than the management. 6. Don't perform any treatments in the "nail" room other than nail treatments.
